CNC Machinist

Looking for a CNC Machinist with experience in manufacturing aircraft parts using 3 and 4-axis vertical and horizontal mills. This job position requires the set-up and operation of CNC machining centers in a high paced job shop. We are not a high volume production shop, most runs are one or two parts and machines are setup everyday with a new job. 

2-5 years experience. Must be top notch. Will be responsible for dimensional inspection, productivity and efficiency of the machines. This company needs a team player that is detail oriented and will deliver on their commitments to the customer without exceptions.

Must be familiar with Fanuc controls. Must be familiar with machining 4340 38-42 RC and Titanium. Must be able to write, read, and edit g-code. Must have good blue print reading skills and able to use micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools. Familiarity with Yazda, Femco, OKK, and Takumi machines is a plus. CNC Lathe set-up and operation experience it's also a plus. Must have own tools to work in a machine shop. Must be comfortable handling parts up to 4000 lbs. 

Must work well with others, be organized, and be able to instruct, teach fellow operators on proper shop practices. 

Our General Working Procedures:
1. Be able to work with minimum amount of supervision.
2. Have the ability to edit programs.
3. Be able to manufacture from the following: blueprints, process sheets, inspection plans, customer/company/ military specifications, and/or instructions from supervisor.
4. Maintain traveler package, generate traceable paperwork, complete and maintain appropriate quality records.
5. Perform all certified operator inspection requirements.
6. Set-up and operate all machines, making all necessary adjustments to machines or tools, as required.
7. Helps to train/instruct other employees as required.
8. Maintain in good working order all necessary tooling, fixtures, and related accessories to support production requirements of the machines in the department.
9. Must have a good knowledge of and ability to apply shop mathematics.
10. Responsible for maintaining calibrated gages.
11. Improvises or adapts available equipment to produce parts to blue print and process dimensions and specifications.
12. Productivity shall be equal to or above established standards and shall conform to quality expected.
13. Exercises good judgment and care in handling of all tools, gages, and parts that are in process.
14. Proactively keep machines and work areas clean and in good, safe conscious order.
15. Participate in "continuous improvement" efforts within the classification/department/company.
